This blog is about my continuing research on the food web of He'eia Fishpond. I created it to share my work and fishpond experiences with people in a timely and interesting way.
The picture above is a juvenile puffer fish (Arothron hispidus). Puffers are common in the pond and I've seen a lot of juveniles living in the limu clumps I pull up.
I am a graduate student in the Donahue Lab at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. This research is funded by a Graduate Research Fellowship from the National Science Foundation.
